At the beginning of the pandemic, Burning Man, the biggest festival of disruptive culture and technology was lost.

For the first time since 1995, the 80.000 people gathering at Black Rock City could not happen.

Burning Man I think is the only festival in the world that is decentralized. So many different theme camps and Non-profit organizations were trying to find a way to connect online.

There was the moment that I first was introduced to the Metaverse world. Through a work friend, I was invited to do the curation of 2D and 3D Brazilian artists while they worked nonstop to get the Virtual Burn online.

One day I asked them where the 2D artwork would be placed inside the Virtual Burn, because the 3D you can just place it on the sand, but the thought of 2D art just floating randomly in the playa bothered me. 

​

When I asked the leadership, they didn't know where to place the 2D art. Didn't cross their minds. And that was my opening.

I offered to design a museum so we could place all the artists that I had curated.

And then it begins one of the most rewarding work processes of all. Unfortunately, the first year of VIrtual Burn didn't get online, due to a lot of programmers missing experience or dedication. But it was very rewarding to connect with artists all over the world during this work.

After I finished getting together an amazing group of artists to be part of the Virtual Burn: CRÂNIO ( biggest graffiti artist in Brazil) Felipe Morrozine, Claudia Liz, Nathaly Edenburg, and many others. 

 

 I started the museum doing the drawings by hand and putting together with some references. My main reference was ''The Crater'' by James Turell.
